U.S. Open week kicked off with several missed tee times for Monday’s practice round. Players traveling from the player host hotels east of Shinnecock Hills had what should’ve been a 15-minute commute lengthened to nearly two hours because of heavy traffic delays.

The Saudi Arabia Golf Federation confirmed today that the new European Tour event taking place in the Kingdom from January 31 to February 3 2019 will feature Dustin Johnson, the world’s top ranked golfer, and Patrick Reed, the 2018 Masters Champion, at the inaugural event.

Erin Hills made its debut as a U.S. Open course Thursday with a most gracious welcome for Rickie Fowler, who matched the record to par in the opening round with a 7-under 65 on the longest course in major championship history.
